A collection of engagements. Engagements are my favorite! The couples are so in love and its pre crazy wedding stress! The best shoots happen when people are uniquely themselves, show their style, laugh and make out a lot!

Jenny + Joe @ Smog Shoppe
Most people tend to gravitate towards coastlines or fancy resorts for wedding locations but not Jenny and Joe. This super chic couple found the city's hidden gem of a venue in an converted Smog Shop - ya like the kind you take your car to! Don't be deterred by the locales humble beginnings - it is one of the best venues in LA. The two were married under a towering wall of succulents. Dinner was catered by the yummy Heirloom LA and served while Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid played in the background. Dancing was had by all to Jenny's favorite 90's hip hop jams. I felt cooler just being there... but the coolest thing of all was watching how much love was between the two. Cheers to Jenny and Joe!
Michelle + Mike @ Cedar Lakes Estate
Ever wanted to go to summer camp? How about taking everyone you know and love with you? Thats exactly what Michelle and Mike did when they had their wedding at Cedar Lakes Estate. I cannot even convey how amazing this wedding was! A pig roast, homemade marshmallow smores, and dancing kicked off the three day love fest at the welcome dinner. Day two guests kayaked, jumped into the lake from the BLOB and enjoyed camp activities. At dusk the couple got married on a hill with an impressive view of the valley (think Tuscany rolling hills) and then drank, dined and danced in the estate's barn under twinkling lights. After a gourmet brunch guests (and the photographer!) were sent hope with full hearts and bellies. THIS is how you do a wedding. Cheers!

TAYLOR + JACK @ HOTEL PALOMAR DOWNTOWN PHOENIX
Art deco wedding downtown? Yes please! Taylor and Jack let their dapper style shine through (I can say 'dapper' because Jack is British) at the Hotel Palomar. The bride's bouquet made of purely broaches was as radiant as she was. The two danced the night away to top local band Snake Burner.
A perk of my job is working with the best of the best when it comes to wedding artisans. Featured in the gallery are promo shots I've done for Salty Blooms floral design and K.A.Kalligraphy. If you are planning a wedding in Southern California be sure to check them out. Both women are so much fun and incredibly talented!
Family portraits, senior portraits, maternity, babies... its all in the family and its all good!
Boudoir is one of my favorite things to shoot. Women are so beautiful! I love shooting grainy black and whites for a romantic and edgy look. Boudoir sessions can be done in the comfort of your own home, while getting ready on your wedding day or in my studio whatever makes you feel sexy!
In 2014 I stared working with Jenny from TOMBOYchic. I met her when I shot her beautiful wedding a few years ago to this amazing guy named Joe at Smogg Shop in LA [click here for that gallery.] Last year she translated her amazing street style into an online blog everyone can enjoy.
Jenny and I love to walk her dog Bella, take photos all around Venice and talk about our ridiculously ambitious dreams over a glass of Sauv Blanc (or two.) Enjoy!
VanDeVort Turns One
Shooting events can be fun when you're hanging out with all the VDV babes. Friend Andrea VanDeVort's boutique, VanDeVort, celebrated its one year anniversary with friends and designers including Flynn Skye, Novella Royale, Spell and the Gypsy Collective and model du jour Rocky Barnes. It was a who's who of the bohemian fashion world.
